When your trying to find a storage unit, sometimes you are limited because of how rural of an area you are in. Maybe there is only one storage facility, What if you have multiple options though or your in an area that is saturated with storage facilities, how to you quickly know who is the best. This article will go over how to find a good place to store your stuff. 

We all know that looking in a phone book is old school, and it's time consuming to call around to multiple business and ask questions and compare pricing, features, and locations. Now days there is an easier way to find self storage. It's called the Internet. Now it's easy to go to google and type something like self storage near me, Google will populate a map of all the storage facilities in your area, and a lot of times have a link to their website, reviews, hours, and pictures. You can quickly click on their URL Link and depending on the storage facility you can often see inventory, and rent a unit right on their website. 

Here are some features to look for on the internet. 
1. Reviews: get real experiences from real people that rented from that facility
2. Location: see where it's located and if it will work for you
3. Costs: see what storage they have available and what it costs
4. amenities: things like water, sewer hook up for rv's, electricity, climate controlled, gates, etc.
5. Physical features: fences, lighting, gates, wide driveways, etc.
6. Online features: ability to rent online, pay online, view history. 

Be sure to look for all these things and it will indeed make your renting experience more pleasant!
